Course Purpose

To teach participants the fundamentals of corrective and preventive action (CAR) processes. Serve as guide for establishing a new process or improvement of an existing. Demonstrates the effective integration of related processes and reporting to ensure a closed loop CAR that captures the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle.


Course Description

This one-day course introduces participants to the proven methods in which to implement an effective corrective and preventive action process to meet process based Business System requirements. Contains a standardized proven approach to CAR's. As an additional benefit it provides options to integrate similar processes such as: Non Conformances, Corrective Action, Preventive Action, and Continuous Improvement Customer Focus Issues into a streamlined integrated process that can be managed by a software database tool. The tips provided improvement the process capability for trend analysis and Management Review reporting of status without the hassles of separate processes.

It provides participants with a full understanding of problem solving methodologies. Participants learn the how to use the “7D” problem solving format to eliminate or prevent the causes of nonconformities. Interactive discussions, case study and hands-on workshops are used to practice new skills. In-house courses can easily be adapted use actual case examples to demonstrate concepts and resolve problems concurrently..
